🔗 Share this article The Streaming Platform is Developing a Popular Game TV Series from the Creators of Alien: Earth and the Comedy Hit. The latest action-packed game that players dived into was Far Cry 6, which featured Giancarlo Esposito in the role of the bad guy, Antón, and was released back in October 6, 2021. In the game universe, it has a reputation for celebrating chaos and mayhem with the same excitement, all while weaving gripping, ideologically themed tales. No wonder then that the network’s decision for a Far Cry anthology series attracted two producers whose work have represented all of those things. About the Series Adapted from Ubisoft's successful video game series, the short-run anthology series is set to premiere on Hulu and will be created by FX Productions. The show will also parallel the video games' style by introducing a different backdrop and ensemble in every instalment. Key Producers Rob Mac, creator of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the visionary behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will work as executive producers on the series under their companies, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be accompanied by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television. “FX has had magnificent relationships with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a combined six series and 32 seasons of television, and we are thrilled that they are joining forces for Far Cry,” stated Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment, in a statement. “I have no doubt that they will present this story in a way that is original, gripping, and incredibly entertaining. We also want to thank our collaborators at Ubisoft for trusting us with this cherished property.” Cast and Future Plans Mac will also appear in the show, but as of now, we have no details on what role that might entail. Hawley's Alien: Earth was recently greenlit for another season, with FX and Disney signing a new overall deal with the creator. “Having the opportunity together with Noah Hawley is a dream realized,” remarked Rob Mac. “Ubisoft has been incredibly generous, trusting us with one of the most renowned video-game realms ever created. And throughout this process, my FX partners constantly supports me with their constant belief and backing.” “What I love about the Far Cry game collection is that it’s an standalone program. Every instalment is a interpretation of a theme, the same way every series of Fargo is a variation on a premise,” noted Hawley. “To produce a large-scale action show that can change from season to season, while always exploring the nature of people through this intricate and chaotic viewpoint, is a dream come true. I’m excited to partner with Rob and bring our mutual bold, ambitious sensibility to the television.” A schedule for when we can look forward to the new Far Cry show has not been announced. The series will premiere on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus internationally.
