The United Kingdom is prepared to move forward with employing the entire amount of frozen Russia's holdings to aid Ukraine's military campaign, Leader Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a shared declaration, the officials of the United Kingdom, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany stated that this coordinated action would heighten pressure on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and persuade Moscow to engage in negotiations.

They added that the decision would be carried out in close cooperation with the US.

British restrictions have frozen more than £25bn of Russian assets since Russia initiated its full-scale invasion against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. Yet, up to this point, funds allocated to the Ukrainian government using Russian funds had solely been sourced from gains and dividends accrued on them.
